Blake's 1st Fair - Elkhart County
Being the unprepared parents we are at times - we forgot the "good" camera on our outing to the fair and had to resort to cell phone cameras to capture the moment so you will have to pardon the fuzzy and not so focused pictures but it did the job just fine.
On our way home, way past bedtime, but by the look on his face he had a great time!
Always have to have fair food! Sharing some of Grandma Spencer's strawberry smoothie...
...and then some of mommy's favorite and famous strawberry shortcake!
Maybe next year he will enjoy the clowns more and they can make him some balloon art :)

Weekend Away in Michigan!
Doug and I were invited for a weekend getaway to the McNaughton lake house in Holland, MI. We had a great time there with Colleen, Nadia, & Tim. We left Blake with his Aunt Tresa until Grandma Spencer came home from work on Friday and then Saturday he went to spend with his Grandma & Grandpa Mullet. His Aunt Tresa got some great pictures of him petting a wild Oriel that she saved after it fell out of its nest. It lives outside but still comes back to get treats and visit.

As you can see the weather didn't completely cooperate with us but we made the best of it...

...they just wore wet suits to go jet sking :)

They looked like they had fun, from my seat just inside the house while I put together a puzzle...and we finished it too, despite the fact it was only 64 degrees this day.
